PENSACOLA, Fla. — Last year, for the first time since 2018, there was a decrease in national drug overdose deaths in the United States according to the CDC.
But another problem still remains: drug misuse. Some call it a public health crisis.
That’s why HCA Florida is putting on “Crush the Crisis” prescription drug take back day this Saturday, working hand in hand with law enforcement from the Fort Walton Beach Police Department and the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.
There are several locations where you can drop off your old or unused prescription drugs. You have six options across Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties:
