State police at Frackville arrested a 43-year-old Middleport man on a felony charge of receiving stolen property after he was allegedly caught driving a stolen Kia Sorrento.

Police charged Daniel Barnes after they were dispatched March 19 to a location on Pleasant Valley Road in East Brunswick Twp. for a possible recovered stolen car, according to a PSP report. Upon arrival, police found out that the vehicle was listed on NCIC as stolen.

Barnes, who parked the vehicle on the property, came forward to PSP and admitted to driving the stolen vehicle to the East Brunswick property.

Knife found on school property

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a report of a knife found on school property along West Market Street in North Manheim Twp.

Police arrested a 16-year-old Orwigsburg female in connection with the March 24 incident, according to a report.

Woman arrested on DUI charge

State police at Schuylkill Haven charged Robin Allan, 63, of Schuylkill Haven, with DUI after her vehicle was found disabled on the side of the road on Meadowbrook Drive/Route 183 South in Wayne Twp. on March 14.

Police said the woman showed signs of impairment and found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

The investigation is ongoing.

Man charged with simple assault

A 34-year-old Port Carbon man is facing a simple assault charge after state police say he attacked another male at Pottsville Park Plaza in Norwegian Twp.

Robert Tabourn was charged in the March 21 incident, after he hit a 28-year-old Pottsville man in the face and left minor injuries, according to PSP Schuylkill Haven.
