WEAVERVILLE, Calif. — Trinity County is asking residents to weigh in on a draft plan that will shape the future of behavioral health services in the area.

The Trinity County Health and Human Services Agency – Behavioral Health Division submitted its Draft Behavioral Health Services Act Integrated Plan to the California Department of Health Care Services and posted it online on Tuesday.

The public comment period runs through April 30, giving community members a chance to review the plan and share their thoughts by emailing BHSinfo@Trinitycounty.ca.gov.

A public hearing on the draft plan will take place during the Behavioral Health Advisory Board meeting on April 15. Community members can attend in person or join via Zoom, with meeting details available on the county’s website.

All feedback received will be reviewed as the county works to finalize the plan. The completed version is set to go before the Trinity County Board of Supervisors for approval on June 16 and must be submitted to the state by June 30.

Trinity County is encouraging anyone interested to take part in the process and help guide behavioral health services moving forward.
