Centerstone will host a grand opening and ribbon cutting for its 10,378-square-foot behavioral health clinic at 1200 Sterling Drive in Poplar Bluff at 3 p.m. Friday, April 10. Attendees may tour the facility and learn about services in southeast Missouri.
The $3.4 million project is funded through a 60/40 capital improvement match with the Missouri Behavioral Health Council and the Missouri Department of Mental Health. Southeast Missouri Behavioral Health became part of Centerstone in the fall of 2025, and St. Louis-based McGrath & Associates, Inc. is the primary contractor on the clinic.
Centerstone, parent company for Southeast Missouri Behavioral Health, employs more than 200 team members in southeast Missouri who provide mental health and substance use treatment in eight counties. Nationally, the nonprofit operates 360 locations in nine states and provides mental health, addiction and social support services.
“Mental illness or substance abuse doesn’t discriminate; they can affect anyone regardless of gender, age, race or socioeconomic status,” Centerstone vice president of southeast Missouri market operations Cathy Schroer said.
