Wasco State Prison-Reception Center (WSP-RC) held a health and wellness fair for the incarcerated population during the week of March 9-13.

Staff from health care, mental health, and Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment held the fair on the Level III general population and minimum level facilities.

The events featured educational stations covering high blood pressure, diabetes, nutrition, dental care, immunizations, and other key health topics and programs.

Incarcerated participants were able to speak directly with medical, nursing, dental, and mental health staff to gain practical information and ask questions about their personal health.

The fair supports WSP-RC’s ongoing efforts to improve health awareness, encourage preventive care, and promote overall wellness within the institution.
