Pinwheel spin at the Douglas County Courthouse on Monday to raise awareness of child abuse on behalf of Court Appointed Special Advocates.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and Suicide Prevention Network is joining with Mental Health America to shine a light on a simple, shared goal: helping people have more good days, together.
To help kick off Mental Health Awareness Month, the network will conduct a pinwheel planting 4:30-6 p.m. May 4 at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center as symbols of hope and connection.
Visit www.spnawareness.org for more information about this and other upcoming events and ongoing programs hosted by Suicide Prevention Network.
Here are a few ways people can create more good days, together:
• Take a moment to consider, “What does a good day look like for me?”
• Mental health is not separate from physical health; they are deeply connected and equally important.
• Having more good days isn’t a solo mission.
• Mental health isn’t one-size-fits-all.
