TOMORROW X TOGETHER is continuing its mental health chapter. The K-pop group is part of a new global campaign announced by UNICEF’s Korean Committee during a press conference held Tuesday (April 28). The campaign, titled TOGETHER FOR TOMORROW, is focused on the mental health of kids around the world.
In the video released with the campaign announcement, HUENINGKAI, TAEHYUN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU and SOOBIN join children on a sparse set to chat and have fun, as leader SOOBIN narrates the clip in Korean. “How are you feeling today? Rather than trying to change you, we just stay by your side,” SOOBIN begins. “Hard days happen, we’ve been through it too. Asking for help doesn’t mean you are weak. Taking care of yourself and leaning on others for support is a sign of strength. Because together, we can be ready for a better tomorrow.”
At the end of the visual, the K-pop group’s members and the kids jubilantly share the campaign’s title, shouting, “Together for tomorrow!”
TOMORROW X TOGETHER — who has landed 13 releases on the Billboard 200 so far — first kicked off its global youth mental health campaign alongside UNICEF with a visit to the UN agency’s New York City offices in October. “Through our musical journey, we have learned that expressing emotion is a sign of strength,” SOOBIN said in his speech at the time. “Now with our campaign with UNICEF, we want to help create a safe and inclusive space for youth to freely express their emotions.”
During that campaign launch, label BIGHIT MUSIC also pledged $1.4 million to fund youth programs and efforts to destigmatize mental health issues.
