TULSA, Okla. — GRAND Mental Health hosted a Battle of the Bands benefit concert in support of addiction recovery and raised over $25,000.

The goal of the event was to raise money and awareness while providing hope and support for people on the road to recovery.

Funds from the concert will allow GRAND Mental Health’s outreach team to provide more than 5,000 meals to people experiencing homelessness and those struggling with addiction and mental health challenges.

While distributing these meals, officials said the outreach team can connect with those who are struggling and guide them toward treatment and other support services.

“This event reflected the very best of our community and the power of what is possible when people come together for a greater purpose. Our team saw an opportunity to turn compassion into action, to reduce stigma, and to remind every person in recovery that they are not alone,” said Josh Cantwell, CEO of GRAND Mental Health.

The concert also served as a celebration for the recovery community.

“That night, we didn’t just celebrate music—we celebrated courage, healing, and the hope that recovery can open the door to a stronger, brighter future,” said Cantwell.

The Battle of the Bands was ultimately won by the cover band Blacker Sabbath.

Other acts included Midtown Shiftshakers, Echo 44, Kick’D Hopeless and Why Bother.

Each band walked away with a prize for lending their talents to the fundraising effort.

Officials with GRAND Mental Health said that the Battle of the Bands raised more than just funds, but also overall community awareness about what those battling addiction go through.
