Kid Cudi announced that he is a founding partner in “We Are Enough” to help those struggling with mental health.

Cudi is seeking to amplify the organization’s mission to challenge the cultural epidemic of “not enough.” Also to “inspire conversations surrounding mental health, self-worth and healing.”

“Been open about my struggles for years — I know what it’s like to be in that dark place,” Kid Cudi said in a statement. “That’s why I’m excited to be a founding member of We Are Enough — a reminder that we are already enough, just as we are. 100 percent of proceeds go straight to nonprofits doing the real work on the ground for mental health.”

To officially launch the partnership, Cudi headlined a stop on his Rebel Ragers Tour at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night (May 30). Everyone in attendance received a We Are Enough bracelet.

CUDI HAD BEEN OPEN ABOUT HIS MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES

From the very start of his career, Cudi used his music as a canvas for his internal struggles. His 2009 debut album, Man on the Moon: The End of Day, became a lifeline for millions of listeners. Songs like “Pursuit of Happiness” and “Soundtrack 2 My Life” laid bare his battles with depression, anxiety, and loneliness. Rather than hiding his vulnerability,

Cudi also has upcoming shows in Hartford, Conn.; Mansfield, Mass., and Bangor, Maine, to kick off the first week of June.

Founded by entrepreneur and philanthropist Blake Mycoskie, We Are Enough was born from a deeply personal realization. No amount of success, achievement, or external validation can heal the internal belief that we are somehow incomplete.

After building TOMS into a global brand and giving away more than 100 million pairs of shoes, Mycoskie faced his own battle with depression, and discovered the truth that ultimately saved his life: he had always been enough.
