WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Funding is heading to eight Kentucky school districts to improve mental health and wellness for students, including in Warren County.
According to Gov. Andy Beshear’s Team Kentucky update on Thursday, the governor stated Kentucky Medicaid is awarding the grants through the SHINE KY local grants initiative.
Beshear’s office states counties receiving funding include Bullitt, Clark, Henry, Jessamine, Johnson, Perry, Warren and Wolfe counties.
This initiative is part of Expanded Access School Based Health Services, officials say, which allows schools to provide health services to students at no cost to families, regardless of insurance coverage.
News 40 will provide additional details on this program as they are released.
