Logan Homan, DO, is another board-certified pediatrician who has benefited from CALL-UP. Holman cares for patients at the U of U Health Stansbury Health Center in Stansbury Park, Utah, and has been with U of U Health for two years.
Holman has always been drawn to mental health. One of his goals as a pediatrician is to debunk the taboo of mental health and create a comfortable space for anyone needing psychiatric care.
“I think in this day and age, general pediatricians are having to help more and more patients with mental health concerns,” said Holman. “CALL-UP is a resource that not only makes me more effective as a provider, but it also helps my patients get the care they need, when they need it. Thanks to CALL-UP, Holman feels more comfortable helping his patients as they navigate mental health issues.
“Every time I have used CALL-UP, they have just been wonderful,” he said. “They talk me through different recommendations and let me know if I can manage things for the patients or if I need to refer them to a psychiatrist.”
