MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – June is recognized as Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month to bring awareness about the mental health challenges men face.
Treig Pronschinske, a state representative from the 29th Assembly District, issued a statement on the month.
In the statement, Pronschinske explained that men are often less likely than woman to seek professional mental health treatment and have higher suicide deaths in the United States.
Pronschinske encouraged people that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Anyone struggling with mental health is encouraged to seek help.
