Strategies for Integrating Behavioral Health into Maternity Care – 2026 MMH FORUM
Moderator Anna Bobb from Path Forward will lead a discussion with national experts on advancing behavioral health integration (BHI) in maternity care, highlighting evidence-based approaches that strengthen screening, treatment, and care coordination. The panel will explore BHI models, including the Collaborative Care Model (CoCM), and preliminary results of a Policy Center pilot using community health workers (CHWs) to support screening and care coordination in OB clinics. Speakers represent the Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute, CommonSpirit Health, FamilyWell Health, and a practicing OB/GYN from UMASS who also serves as a clinical expert within ACOG. Together, the panel will discuss strategies and remaining roadblocks to improving maternal mental health care in maternity care.
