A man on a cross-country walk to raise awareness for mental health and addiction recovery is making his way through Eastern Carolina this week.

Kyndal Edwards started walking again on Thursday along Highway 17 in Onslow County and is now working his way through Jacksonville.

Edwards has spent more than 500 days walking while partnering with Never Alone Recovery.

His upcoming stops in Eastern Carolina include Emerald Isle, New Bern, Greenville, and toward Elizabeth City before he continues north to Maine.
