A local mother is hosting an event this weekend to help show services for those dealing with mental health issues.
A birthday vigil will take place in front of Two Rivers City Hall tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
Nicole Strak says it’s part of remembering her daughter Destiny Koch-Hostettler, who passed away in 2023.
Nicole says she expects about 40 people to show up to see resources available for those dealing with mental issues and or drug issues.
SeehaferNews.com first mentioned Nicole in February after she held a protest claiming her daughter’s death was mishandled by Two Rivers Police.
She tells us that the District Attorney’s Office is looking into the case.
Police reports say Destiny passed away from a drug overdose, but Nicole says her daughter passed away from asphyxiation after she was found hanged.
