A second “Periodic Table” meal in Oak Ridge will enable participants to talk about mental health issues and available health care, as well as share their personal experiences in an open, safe and nonjudgmental setting while eating and listening to others.
Join others 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 15 at the United Way of Anderson County Conference Room, 301 Broadway Ave. in Oak Ridge. Participants will sit in a small group at a table, and each table will have a moderator.

The purpose of a Periodic Table event is to bring together people from diverse backgrounds to talk about important issues in a way that does not require them to debate or problem-solve.
Whatever is discussed stays with the group. Members get to know each other and find shared connections that build the foundation for next steps.
This event is sponsored by the Healing Starts Here Grant, the National Alliance for Mental Health (NAMI) of Oak Ridge, Ridgeview Behavioral Health Services, Helen Ross McNabb Center and Oak Ridge Breakfast Rotary Club.
