COLLEGE PLACE, Wash. – College Place Public Schools is getting a grant worth $270,000 over the next three years to fund ‘Wellness Without Limits,’ its new onsite mental health support program.

In a press release from CPPS, the grant comes from the Walla Walla County Department of Community Health’s (DCH) 2025-2027 Behavioral Health Community Grant.

“This grant helps us go above and beyond to support the wellness of our students,” said CPPS Superintendent Jim Fry. “At CPPS, we are committed to fostering environments where every student can grow and succeed—both academically and emotionally. The CP Way is about ensuring that each student feels connected, supported, and empowered, and this program brings those values into action.”

The new program will give students in-school access to a licensed provider of behavioral health services.

DCH’s funding is part of a countywide initiative to improve behavioral health resources across demographics and communities.
