BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) – Voters in Butler County will soon decide on Issue 12, a proposal aimed at expanding mental health services across the region.
The measure has garnered bipartisan support and, if passed, would increase property taxes by $13 per $100,000 in property value. The additional revenue would be allocated to the Butler County Mental Health and Addiction Recovery Services Board.
The board provides a range of services, including family intervention and addiction resources. Sheriff Richard K. Jones has voiced his support for Issue 12, emphasizing the growing demand for mental health services due to crime convictions and drug abuse.
For those in immediate need of mental health or addiction services, assistance is available 24/7 by calling 988. More information can be found on the Butler County Mental Health Services Board’s website.
