I’m at 13 year old girl my name is Shamia and can I ask you a question? I really don’t want help sometimes I have really suicidal thoughts like so bad that literally I want to hang myself and kill myself, but I don’t. I really don’t want any help feel like I don’t want anybody to stop me, nobody’s in my family don’t know about this. I don’t tell anybody I mean I got bruises on my arms. I got cut. I do it myself. I do it myself in my family. Been asking me where the bruises come from I say I fall.

I am currently looking into going back to graduate school for either the Masters in Health Counseling (MHC) or Masters of Social Work (MSW). I’m having a hard time deciding which to do since I’ve heard from two friends (and through my own research) that MSWs are more employable with a wider range of options. On the other hand MHC’s get a license which has reciprocity with other states. It seems like reciprocity with an LCSW is complicated and state by state. Does anyone have any experience with this? I could use some guidance! (Btw I will be in Massachusetts for the program!)
Wow life can be interesting. I first watched this video years ago when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to be. I decided on psychologist a that same year. However, plot twist, i'm now doing a masters in counseling to become a LPC.

No matter who I see it's going to be very expensive. I've had almost no medical insurance throughout my life. Now I'm finally enrolled in Medicare and Medicaid and can get the counseling I need. My life has me overwhelmed. Medication keeps me from going off the rails, but counseling is very much needed.
my wife of 41 yrs passed away 6 04 2024 . i adored her . yes i am grieving for my loss . now to compound my grief thing that got buried in my subconscious now pouring out about her 2 infidelities'. i can not sleep and yell into the wind . now chest pains are coming .72. who do i need to talk too? i know i need help . oh she was my second wife first wife 7 years i left due to her cheating . she said my stuff was not big enough
Thank you. I was curious about the differences in the various professions, but had a time and a half finding someone who could explain them so i could understand.
Im blessed, I should say. There was a rough patch there for a number of years when things were real bad upstairs. I finally found a psychologist I clicked with though, and was able to talk out a lot of my issues and learned better coping skills. That wasn't easy either. Working together with her my psychiatrist has been able to ween me down off my meds, its been a year med free now. It feels like I've found an old friend… Myself, but calmer and happy😊😊
I believe school counselors need their Masters. (I think you said Bachelors in the beginning of the video.) Unless it goes state by state?

In Texas,to be and Lpc we are trained in marriage and family, career, diagnosis, addiction, groups, etc. we are basically broadly trained in how to counsel anyone, but of course getting specialized training after grad school is so important. I do sandtray and Emdr.
