A Brighter Future for Mental Health | J.C. Adams | TEDxMorelia
Innovations in technology combined with changes in health care delivery systems are providing new methods for providing mental health care to more people in efficient and immediate ways.
J.C. is an experienced executive, entrepreneur and lean startup driver, launching and leading companies in technology, marketing, real estate and healthcare. Mr. Adams first startup was launched as an undergrad at Baylor in 1994. Although too early to market, Student Link was one of the first social networks ever created. J.C.’s next venture – Expert Media was a successful 1996 foray into web development, hosting, and digital marketing. After a successful exit in 1998, he took his technology expertise into corporate real estate. Partnering with industry veteran Wayne Swearingen at Barclay Commercial Group, Mr. Adams built a reputation for generating high returns in investment brokerage and commercial leasing by leveraging technology. During 2009, after a decade of real estate success followed by the market/credit crash, J.C. took the time to search for a social enterprise where he could both “do good and do well.”
