you are incredible. thank you doctor🤞🏾
I have Inattentive type ADD. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 37 after I sought it out on my own. I remember being a “daydreamer” in 3rd grade staring out the window and then spending too much time on detailed drawings on my homework and turning in everything late. I was in Arkansas at the time and was sent to the Principal for a spanking because of my frequent lateness with school work. 😤
With trauma vs ADHD, is it possible that one can createthe other? Eg: the experience of a traumatic/disrupted childhood exacerbate ADHD
orundiagnosed ADHD leading to trauma through invalidation/conflict through other's frustrations?37 here and have had increasing difficulty in managing my adhd, prioritization of task being one of them. I was doing well for the past several years until I recently resigned a job due to environment and coworkers. While I was working I was able to function at quite a good level despite it being unorganized and very chaotic environment was able to have a semblance of order and operate well though I was not at the performance of none neurodiverse coworkers. Been struggling since then to remain organized in applying to other jobs interviewing and just trying to get my life in order. It's caused me a lot of anxiety because of it though I am not in dire straits what I am not good at I make up for in other areas.
I’m 22.
I struggle with depression and anxiety. I recently was told by my psychologist that a may have adhd. Now that I look into it, I realise I resonate entirely with the traits you have described.
I have recently stopped working full time due to my mental illness.
I am currently on ssri’s although I am relapsing into my depression. I’m not sure what the next step is. Every time I feel closer to a solution I find my self circling back to square one.
This was a great lecture. I always knew I was different and stuck out anywhere I went but never knew why. Diagnosed late at 32. Explained EVERYTHING
This is all extremely valuable information & I want to thank you for your time & effort in making this available to the public for free. God bless your soul.
That was one BIG cup ! 🙂

This video is amazing. Gives so much insight for me and really resonates with me. Ticks all the boxes with add/adhd.
There’s basically NO research out there. I am glad to have found your video this is very useful 🙏🏽
Thank U So Much. This is so concise and helpful and a few key take aways and new info that really clicked. I needed to be reminded of this. Im an adult with mixed ADHD undiagnosed until roughly 5 years ago after failing in life work and relationships. Ups n downs. Allways had addiction issues. Poly substance enthusiast no more like a freaking machine. Anyway I am 30 now and had forgot most of this stuff and eventually slumped back to the point of helplessness agajn. the worst part seems to be many friends/peers suffer trauma depression addiction issues too (cluster b's) and they project onto me while also taking advantage.. they claim ADHD isn't real or they have it too although I usually try explain the difference between PD's and ADHD and how probablyas impolitely and impulsively rude as I can hope not to be)
I got frusrated having this ADHD , but with the use of dr imenherbal on YouTube herbal remedy , i have been able to get rid of ADHD
spent 18 years on and off, but mainly on SSRIs anti depressants… did very little, last 6 months been on ADHD meds. Heaven X
@Doc Snipes!!! This is amazing information! I was just diagnosed with Autism and adhd last June at the age of 39. Adhd runs in my family! And addiction of all kinds runs in my family too. Thank you so much for these videos! It has helped me to realize that I'm ok and I feel validation. And a better understanding of my behaviors. Past and Present. Thank you Thank Thank you!
I finally got diagnosed at 53 after suffering from 40 yrs of addiction …so mad at the CDC industry as well as mental health, been in and out of rehab and mental health counseling…All of the symptoms and everything she talks about hit me .3 months clean with meds,,,,so much more to over come
Being an adult who was diagnosed when I was 45yrs old, I have to tell you that even though I'm on medication your video had me drifting off and not paying attention. If you want ADHD people to be included in your presentations, I'd advise you to add some moving graphics of some sort to keep us focused on what you are talking about. I honestly wanted to listen to your video, but within 3 minutes I'd totally lost interest. Hopefully this is helpful criticism and not intended to say your work is bad. Because I couldn't concentrate long enough to find out either way.
Isn’t adhd a result of trauma, as Gabor Mate suggests. I’m confused it seems you’re saying it’s not, the two are separate but overlap slightly.
Hi as a medical personnel I tell my clients to always checkup on their family. To know if they are okay. But I didn't have enough time for mine and I didn't notice that my child had ADHD. But I am greatful to Dr Iyhere on youtube for providing a lasting treatment for him. I appreciate you sir.
This helps explain why I’ve medicated myself the last 20 years with alcohol, caffeine (6-8 cups a day), cannabis, NyQuil etc. So tired of being exhausted and overwhelmed by life.
I need help now
why is it trauma or adhd….surely can be both/?
I was anxious and not sure I wanted to watch this video but I did and I’m so glad because it was very helpful. At 58 years old, to be diagnosed as an adult is a double edge sword. Just like the disorder there are good and bad aspects. The good thing is knowing what’s been affecting you your whole life that you didn’t understand but the bad thing is being flooded with all this information and overwhelmed and finding the proper treatment for this and all the other conditions you may have. Thanks for your presentation.
What she says about having a “survival bag” is definitely a necessity for me. Right now. On a 3-4 hour train ride and listening to this as a distraction. After 1 hour I take a bathroom break just to get up… now 2 hours in I can NOT get comfortable. My legs hurt from sitting! My bf is just sleeping through the ride. So jealous….
Hello What and where's the Correct medication for ADHD symptoms ALL of them especially they should make the damn best or better medication s on the MARKET now
This hits you right in the gut, got diagnosed late last year at 42, and I'm still trying so hard to fit in with a neurotypical world. When the presentation said adults with ADHD are 42% more likely to underemployment, fear of rejection etc, that's all true with me. Haven't had a full time job for over 10 years. Been doing supply chain, photography, video editing, delivery driving, Uber driving, digital marketing, web developing to name a few. Now that I know what's wrong with me after all these years, I have hope.
All the best for all the other late starters like me..
Well dang I sleep like 4 hours at night so maybe that explains it
