"Developing healthier coping patterns is additive, not subtractive." Insightful video. For me I think accepting unhealthy parts of myself is 10x harder than switching to healthier behaviors (generally ofc), I just tend to lock down when I feel pressured to do something/not do something because it feels like it implies rejection of those parts of myself, and the "additive, not subtractive" philosophy takes pressure off there. It reminds me of reinforcement vs punishment
