  3. Oh my God, I had this exact realization a few days back. I woke up feeling extremely low and empty. I tried to push through it, and work, but I couldn't get anything done. I started crying out of nowhere and then I cried more and more. I soothed myself, postponed everything, took care of myself, prayed and stayed in the bed, let my body rest. This continued for three days, and I when I had completely exhausted myself. I fell asleep only to wake up feeling detoxified. I had a certain calmness and empathy in me. It humbled me and reminded me that others might be having a hard time too, so be kind. But the bottom line is the depressive episode was cathartic.

    Note: Not to mislead anyone, Clinical depression is a different thing. If you are diagnosed with it get propoer treatment. Here, I'm talking about everyday depression that comes with life.
