Involving people from all communities in mental health research

We need to involve people from all communities in mental health research. It’s #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek and the theme this year is COMMUNITY.

In the past, mental health researchers have struggled to reach the people who really need help.  Children and young people, people from ethnic minorities and those with preexisting physical health problems have often been excluded from research. We need to address these inequalities and involve a more diverse population in our research.

Watch our new Mental Health Research Initiative video to find out how this is happening across the country.
