DBT, or Dialectical Behavior Therapy, is a therapeutic approach originally developed to treat borderline personality disorder. It combines elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy with mindfulness techniques. DBT aims to help individuals regulate their emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and develop coping strategies for dealing with stress and challenging situations. It focuses on teaching mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills to enhance overall emotional well-being and functioning.
