  1. I know this isn’t good to say but honestly weed helps me so much. I’ve tried so many medications and it just doesn’t work. Lethium made me feel very sick and since you have to check your blood, it made me so tired. I don’t use weed all the time but when I need it I’ll use it

  2. PSA: She's apparently talking about Lithium Carbonate, which is usually dosed at a toxic level. On the flipside, there's Lithium Orotate which is much safer and crosses the blood brain barrier at much lower doses and has many beneficial effects on your health. Do your own research and don't let videos like this scare you from helping yourself to better health!

  3. People don't check their levels for years and then come here talking sh*t abou the med. I'm alive because of Lithium. It can be bad, yes, but things are not black and white. You need to do things consciously. Don't drink too much of caffeine, do drink a lot of water, check your lithium levels regularly… It can work for some, it can NOT work for others. Simple as that.

  4. Bipolar disorder is a pseudoscientific, catch-all diagnosis used by psychiatrists to push dangerous, addicting drugs onto the public, to the delight of big pharma! Bi polar diagnosis have INCREASED 40x in the last 30 years despite all the “miracle” psychiatric drugs that have come out. Psychiatry is an evil scam!

  5. You said in a video dated 5 years back that Lithium is one of the top 3 choices for Mixed Mania. Now with this video you are saying the opposite… Are you aware of this discrepancy in your content? Were you mistaken in the past or is there new findings since the video 5 years ago? I know that this is the internet, but I would like to know that I am taking in content from a credible source while navigating my health plan and journey in mental health.

  6. The great things about lithium for people with bipolar is; it is an anti inflammatory on the brain, its a neuroprotective, it increases bdnf in the brain and helps improve cognitive function in the brain. Certain terpenes and cannabanoids found in cannabis do exactly the same thing without all of these horrible side effects that lithium has! Il list them now for you but I have bipolar was on 15 different types of medications for a period if 5 years all the medications made my symptoms worse the antipsychotics and mood stabilisers made me feel depressed and the antidepressants made me manic nothing worked until my psychiatrist prescribed me cannabis to treat my bipolar ever since then I've had less episodes and the ones I do have are minor in comparison to what it was like before I started being prescribed cannabis by my psychiatrist

if you have bipolar and are reading this please don't just go out and buy some cannabis to see if it works there are over 5000 different strains of cannabis all that can be used to treat different illnesses all with different terpenes and cannabanoids in them and different levels of each so the chance of u buying one that is helpful in treating bipolar is very low infact there are some strains of cannabis that can make the symptoms of bipolar worse cannabis is a medication like any other medication it has to be prescribed by a doctor but here are the terpenes and cannabanoids that do exactly the same thing as lithium without any of the horrible side effects mentioned in this video lol

Beta-Caryophyllene is an anti-inflammatorys that work on the brain specifically. It is an antioxidant. It also modulates and lessens the psychoactive effects of thc. So will stop you feeling high from the thc found in some strains of cannabis.

Limonene increases bdnf in the brain. It is also an anti inflammatory on the brain. This terpene also modulates and lessons the psychoactive effects of thc.

Alpha-Pinene improves cognitive function in the brain it is also an anti inflammatory on the brain.

CBD is a cannabanoid found in cannabis that is a neuroprotective

Switching to cannabis to treat my bipolar has given me and my family our lives back!

More people need to know it is an option for them I didn't think it was until recently!

The worst side effects you can get with lithium is death! Still to this day nobody has died from overdosing on cannabis!

  7. I had to discontinue Lithium treatment cold turkey due to dehydration, nausea, vomiting, joint pain, fatigue and mental fog. It would have ultimately killed me if I hadn’t stopped it against medical advice. The doctor kept trying to increase my dosage despite how sick it made me. I can’t believe that this is the first line of treatment for bipolar disorder. They give you a drug that wreaks havoc on your mind and body and expect you to function at a full time job and then go back to the doctor and hospital and pay them for more. I’m not willing to sacrifice my kidney function for my sanity even if the medication worked.

  8. Without lithium i cant survive. I am not much aware about its side effects. But must do lithium test, then only you stop that medicine. Otherwise decease will caught backk!!! So dont do!!

  9. I was on lithium for 20 some years and it did not help the suicide tendencies or thinking. I finally ended up in the hospital six different times to try and get leveled out.

  10. Lithium definitely saved my life when I was first diagnosed. Especially with suicide ideation. But after a few months the side effects were outweighing the benefits. So think twice before you start taking it and be open to stopping if you think you are able to live without it. Either way good luck fellow bipolar sufferers.

  11. I have bipolar 1 and taken many medications to try to find the right treatment, from observing others experiences and really weighing the risks of lithium I have always turned it down. I think it’s well worth exploring healthier options and making sure that you have a correct diagnosis in the first place instead of prescribing medicine that does serious damage to the kidneys long term just from one or two consultations.

  12. I been on Lithium since 2019. The effects were great at the start for a difference i seen in myself but now i am back to as bad as i was at the start. I’m having terrible mood swings along with depressive episodes most of the time while on this. The side effects don’t help at times.

  13. Well this is what a doctor just prescribed for me and I don’t even have bipolar. She said she thinks I have bipolar depression. 🤷🏽‍♀️🙄 After hearing about the side affects, I am not taking it!

  14. Lithium is nice but also a bit scary I still have suicidal thoughts but I just can’t act on them anymore it’s like it reignited my survival instincts

  15. Does anybody check the NNT ?
    Number needed to treat ?
Has they ever been any real reserch into the NNT as well?
Until the number is less the 3…
I wouldn't dare touch the drugs.

(Btw…it's 7. 1 in 7 people does bipolar medication has a positive effect of some degree.)

  16. I get uncontrolled depression, anxiety and mania once in a while….ketamine is not yet available here in the Philippines, antipsychotics cause me severe restlessness and movement problems, valproate is not helpful for depression maybe lithium can help me,

  17. Lithium is also very good if you have depression with hypomania, no antidepressants worked for me, and I can say Lithium is a baby ketamine, I use it together with Lamotrigine, very good for the depression side of bipolar. I am amaze that it work. i don't think it should only be use for classic depression. I am type 2, mostly depression bipolar,
