This is such important information!
I find that the impact of long covid on my life circumstances is another place where my brain is generating danger signals. Ultimately, it feels like the key is seeing the whole thing, symptoms, life impacts and all, as a growth experience. Not a thing to be fought, but an opportunity to become a better version of myself. Obviously, not the easiest thing to pull off, it's a work in progress 🤣

The goal is to teach the brain and autonomic nervous system that activity is safe [06:55]. Fear, especially of the symptoms themselves, fuels the condition [07:38]. When symptoms are not severe, she suggests being curious and relaxed about them to signal safety to the nervous system [08:04]. However, for severe symptoms, focus on self-compassion and gentle messages of safety [08:33].
