The Need for Lifestyle Behaviour Interventions with Depression

we have to consider patients preferences and try to tailor interventions knowing that some interventions will work very well for some people and some other will just w we need to make use of all interventions that we have in order to try to achieve better results in the fields we should stop and think what have been happening with uh depression prevalences over time they are pretty much stable excluding in young people we have been trying to produce new anti-depressants and new interventions but still the pre of depression is stable over time this brings to mind something like the shared decision making model where you’re able to offer different options to different patients or clients give them informed Choice as to the evidence behind each one and then allowing them to be the experts in their own life to an extent and make that choice

In this Short, we discuss the great need to look beyond exclusively psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy as treatments for Depression, and the need to look at Lifestyle Behaviours.
