    I knew someone whose mum wrote for Mills and Boon in the 1980s. I remember this cheery writer telling me it was quite a tough gig to get published. She succeeded in her 6th attempt.
    She wrote an advice book called 'To Writers with Love'…if you need any literary tips 😀

    MJ were the initials of the only person who got anywhere near breaking me – big win for them in the short term, huge transformation and evolution for me in the long run. I claim the win on that.
    I've considered trying to write romance novels – just can't bring myself to do it!

    After only 3 minutes, I was convinced…
    Gemma, have you considered reading for audio books? I absolutely love your reading skills. I guess I could even listen to you reading that book (or anything else for that matter) just for the pleasure of enjoying your pronunciation and intonation.

    Sounds like early winter is coming, before the roses have bloomed out. Something very cold or cruel happening in the world. Virgo new moon is a harvest time, in a few days, but the reading and poem suggests it all floods or burns or snows away. No harvest?

    What a fun range you brought us today, Gemma — from old steamy(?) novels to deeply intellectual poetry, my my. I LOVE Gemstone Tarot! Oh, and by the way, as I'm sure you're aware, your inset pic was in reverse. That's tech for you: fix one thing and two other things go wonky. I think it's a law. :)(

    What a brilliant reading, Gemma. I have definitely been sliding into fantasy thinking lately just to get away from the pressure and the overwhelming feeling of daily life. And I totally feel like the ace of pentacles in reverse: I'm slowly making plans to move, but in a, "I'll do it next year" in a kind of a way. There's just no way to make a solid plan right now, but I am thinking about different options. I read "Snow" when you recommended it before and I absolutely love it. I agree that that's how you know when a poem is really good – when you can read it 100 times and get something new out of it each time. I do that with Prufrock and The Lady of Shallot and so many others. I share your frustration because I have neighbors that are constantly hammering and sawing. They keep constructing more outbuildings! And now Google is in my neighborhood literally digging huge trenches in everyone's yards to install Google fiber and there's nothing we can do about it. Oh my God, the horror! The trenches are like 4 feet deep and there's massive equipment all over and they were banging this morning and they woke me up. 🤬 Thank you for sharing your new book with us – I love the way you read. 💕💕
