ADHD Stimming | What It Looks Like in Everyday Life #adhd #adhdawareness
Stimming is SELF REGULATING your emotions!
Stimming in ADHD (sometimes called self-soothing) is a body focused way both kids and adults regulate emotions, focus, and cope with overwhelm. It can look like tapping, fidgeting, humming, chewing nails and picking things constantly or repeating any movements.
These behaviors are not “bad habits” — they are self-regulation tools that support well-being. I want to highlight ADHD stimming to raise awareness and reduce stigma for people or children that have these behaviours.
