AMSA Talks with Tony Thrasher of Milwaukee County Behavioral Health

Dr. Tony Thrasher, DO, DFAPA is a board-certified psychiatrist who received psychiatric training from Washington University in St. Louis at Barnes Jewish Hospital, and he is the Immediate Past President of the American Association for Emergency Psychiatry. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and he currently serves as the President for both the Wisconsin Psychiatric Association and the Wisconsin Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.

Tony is Medical Director of the Crisis Services branch of the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division. In this September 2025 AMSA Talks, Tony describes how crisis services – including mobile crisis teams – operate in Milwaukee and in Wisconsin.
