Interview #3 w/ @DrTaylorBurrowes on Mental Health Field, @sadiapsychology , Charlie Kirk & more!

In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Taylor Burrowes (Phd) to discuss the state of the mental health field, her transitioning to life coaching, and current events including but not limited to the assassination of Charlie Kirk, Sadia Khan’s lack of credentials, and what why many therapists are reevaluating their impact in the mental health space due to its politicization.

  1. 16:09 This made me think of the removal of homosexuality from the DMS. I just learned of this…and when thinking on how certain aspects of sexuality have “grown”, this points to how this change took place.

  2. 20:56 It would seem that people would be more apt to go to a coach simply because they may be seen ti give way to their clients. At that point, I see this as just having conversations…not having discussions resulting in resolving implementations.

  3. Jeff, thank you so much for this recent conversation with Dr. Taylor Burrowes. The discussion offered an honest and thought-provoking look at how political and cultural shifts are reshaping both practice and perception. I attained a doctorate in the social sciences, focusing in business and organizational strategy. As a career coach, I found real value in the way this dialogue highlighted both the challenges and opportunities for professionals reevaluating their impact in today’s climate. Conversations like these move the field forward and encourage deeper reflection. Thank you again for your presence in this space and for creating space for this kind of discussion.

  4. 43:43 Sex sales…and this is why some of these women and men can get as far as they do. People will follow the message BECAUSE of how the messenger looks and presents themselves. IMO, people want to be attractive and sought after…and in following those who have these attributes people may themselves feel attractive and sought after. Yet, this attraction is external for the person…they are giving they’re energy and work externally vs internally. It’s like buying makeup and thinking you can duplicate the exact look beyond the colors and/or shading in specific areas of the face but the actual look of the model…to actually look exactly as the model does. I hope that makes sense…

  5. To Dr. Taylor Burrowes' point about the phrase she mentioned, "Beautiful women get away with murder". They don't actually get away with murder; however, they're chameleons. The pretty privilege behavior is promoted and supported like a coddled child in the end by men. Eventually, the consequences do catch up to them, and they face the consequences, not the men.

  6. 1:15:38 Much gratitude for this episode! This was my introduction to @DrTaylorBurrows! Already followed her on YT…looking forward to following and supporting on the other platforms!

  7. Very good interview 👏🏾
Expose the pump fakers and frauds in this space as they can and will do more damage and continue to expand the division between men and women in terms of healthy relationships

  8. I appreciate this conversation in a world where people are relying more and more on the internet for information and guidance. Especially when the internet is a space where people become radicalized and dehumanized. We need more conversations about credible on the internet. I'm in the financial space, and the misinformation that is shared is damaging to our communities. Hopefully, one day, I'll have enough courage to do what you all do in bringing balance to the internet.

  9. Greetings my friend,

A great interview that is more akin to a superior conversation. I enjoyed it immensely.

It is indeed refreshing to listen to intelligent, freeform conversation that is congruent with reality throughout.

I never knew Dr. Taylor prior to this video. I don't mean this in an offensive way, but for a woman in today's world, her mindset is different, and I like it. Modern yet old school mixed. She indirectly mentions spirituality along with her education, and that is not common. Many of those professions tend to be anti-God. I am happy that she consider it an important aspect of life. We all need more of that in our lives.

I see Dr. Taylor as the female Jeff, who is striving to include balance in the conversation.

I think you two should do more things together based on specific topics to show balance from each side, so that the conversations do not favor male or female as talking points, but looking for the solutions for both sides. You both would stand out from the crowd by creating a much-needed lane for constructive discourse. I envision it as a once a week episode of conscious, non-emotional discourse to heal the wounds between the sexes and races. Somehow the thinking must be elevated, because it's so low and often devoid of logic and reason, and it's killing this country and the world.

For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. Thoughts are things. Positive thinking brings forth positive results. Negative thoughts brings forth negative results.

Most of the conversations between the sexes and the races are negative, and the results are before us.

Accordingly, I am strongly suggesting that you and Dr Taylor get together and create a program based on the spirit of what happened in this video. I think it can work, even if it only saves a few from unnecessary drama. Life is hard as it is, and drama is not needed.

Peace be with you all …

  10. Brother Jeff, I have to say, as a Marine, I would follow you into combat. With that being said, just don't forget us 50+ yr old brothers who are single/ married and have problems/situations that require alternative feedback/ solutions/motivation etc.

  11. Hello Mr. St James! I just finished listening to this episode. When I first saw your IG story, I was incredibly excited for the episode to come out! I'm a supporter of Dr. Taylor Burrowes and can wholeheartedly attest to the transformation her work has done in my life. She unlike ANY other coach that I've seen on social media.

If you are reading this message AND you want to change your life for the better, PLEASE consider working with her, you will not regret it at all!

This was an insightful and integrous conversation between 2 mental health professionals I greatly respect and I pray that you two collaborate again in the future. I believe great things would come from that.

  12. Good morning and thank you Jeff, for having me on for this wonderful conversation. Much obliged 🙏🏼

I need to drop a correction for something I said. I didn’t catch it until I just watched it back.

Sadia Khan was fired from her last teaching position in Dubai 6 weeks into her employment. Here is the full quote from the source (with permission of course), a member of management at a Dubai school… “It is a fact that our school had to fire Sadia for inappropriate behaviour and language in the classroom. Her propensity to twist the Psychology curriculum into toxic ideologies predicated by her were dangerous for the children. After many parental and student complaints, Sadia was asked to leave and told she would not pass her probation. This was after only 6 weeks in the job.”
