  1. I'm glad you brought this up as I am hanging around 75% up from 10% and bedbound 3 years ago. Every now and then there are two things I am learning that seem to contradict each other or that require some fine balance between the two. So apropos of today's video, I have this conundrum. Some of the brain training programs – like Curable – tell you to change the language you have when talking about one's symptoms. So instead of saying "I am tired" say "I would like to be more awake", as the theory goes the brain is not listening to qualifiers just verbs or nouns (my own way of explaining this). I do this, but I am also deeply into JournalSpeak and it has been wonderful! Here – for 20 minutes a day – I am to write out how I truly feel about things now and in the past. And I don't mince words. Curse if I like. Etc. So I would write down "I am so so so so tired of this xxxxxing tiredness" in ALL CAPS! You get the drift. I would welcome your suggestions about ways to think about this contradiction, Raelan, as well any other readers. Thanks.

  2. Hi Raelan! I had CFS and all the symptoms for 8 years and now I’m at 75% working full time and “pacing” although I never knew the term but I have been doing it. Would love to come on the channel and inspire hope for others and also encourage myself to get to 100%. It would help others and myself too! Let me know! Thank you for existing and having this channel.

  3. yeah! thats what i said today, very recently my nervous system dropped out of survival mode (i debunked tiny life or death narratives that were linked to trivial eceryday situations and harmkess quirks and were sending the nervous system into subconscious panik loops all the time), which is sensational!!, but "one hand does not know what the other does", i notice that a different part of the nervous system is still suspicous, maybe it is the more superficial Pacing-related area of the nervous system of daily schedule and avtivities.
yes, it is clearly confused. because now that i cracked the root cause, on one hand i finally will soon be able to do stuff (todos) i ve been patiently waiting for, on the other hand it wants to chill and not fight with microtasks because brainfog is still there.

  4. dr mickel (mindbody) said as an explanation of boredom vs fulfilled, " if you wake up with symptoms, your body does no approve of the day that lays ahead" (the schedule/ overall direction is not aligned with what the body would prefer to do, with what the body/system would consider a purposeful/meaningful thimg to do)

please dont get me wrong, we all are not keen on/ dont approve of a day of carefully navigating fatigue. this sentence just resonated with me.
