Nation Update: Minister emphasises community role in mental health care
Minister of Health and Wellness Davidson Ishmael addressed the Psychiatric Hospital’s Mental Health Month Church Service held at New Dimensions Church, Barbarees Hill, St Michael, this morning.
He highlighted the importance of early intervention and recovery support within family and community settings, noting that community services are essential in maintaining continuity of care for vulnerable clients. Strengthening mental health services for children and adolescents was also identified as a key area of focus.
