Why Do Bad Habits Feel SO GOOD?

Why do we like doing things that we know are bad for us? The reason is bad habits give us the comfort we need. The solution is end a bad habit is discomfort. The only way to grow is through discomfort.

  1. Something I forgot to mention in the video: You can get a dopamine boost from doing healthy things too, like playing sports, meditation, eating the right foods, being generous…

  2. On the other hand: is discomfort really the purpose of life? Lots of discomfort will eventually lead to unhappiness without a clear goal. Reaching succes is temporarily, the path to succes is finite.

  3. I can't buy that comfort is 100% illusion and no real comfort exists. When my wife and I are holding each other, saying how much we love each other, and how happy we are to be together……that isn't comfort? That isn't real? I beg to differ.

Id rather have a life of wicked ups and downs then a monotone life of always wondering what would it be like if… For those here who are flatliners in life just existing and doing what the world tells you, enjoy your reality TV while us real lifers experience life in its absolute quality. (Mic drop).

  5. Bad eating and inactivity are WAY MORE RESPONSIBLE than 16.6% of disease. The CDC is an absolutely corrupt organization and should never be cited as an authority, except on how to suck Matrix c*ck.

  7. I don't quite understand your telling me you can't have a good life if you do all them bad things. You need to understand it's not how long you live it's how good you live. And living like that is very good I think we forget what happiness is

  8. So doing things you do not enjoy make your life better somehow. I'm 52 years old and I'm telling you right now you better start doing things that you want to do stop planning for the future and live life for the moment for that's all you have my child

  9. From last 2 years, I got myself into a habit of going to long brisk walk every day around the sunset. ( In small town at my parents house) That was the best time in whole day. And I was so much addicted to that walk. It helped me to live in the present, calm and relaxed. Unfortunately I moved to another (metro) city where there's no quiet place and no woods. And I don't get the same feeling here. That makes me so so sad. Can anyone help or suggest
