  1. Okokok im confused because it was nothing like that for me. For me i have been to a phychiatric hospital 3 times, twice to a behavioral center which was my choice before i realized that i needed phychiatric help not behavioral help i got the names mixed up because it said mental health and behavioral so i went to- whatevee basically ive been near it all, and let me tell you those chairs hurt, the doors werent slanted, and they took forever to send me to a hospital when i clearly needed it i was told by a social worker themselves that i was in a crisis situation and i needed to OVER explain my point to make them listen ill never forget that because its the reason i got put in my first ward, soon my friend from the ward will be out of juvinial

  2. Yeah. Fuck you. You are the biggest liar ive ever seen. Psych wards are horrible. If i ever see your face in a hospital ill automatically think imma get the worst treatment. I aint never goin to a psych ward.

  3. as someone who's been in the ward 3 times. its literally dehumanizing. dare i say, it would be better to have a successful attempt than to go to the ward.

  4. Man I have PTSD from the psych ward, I was pinned down by 6 guards and given booty juice all because I couldn’t stop moving from a bad drug reaction. After I was knocked out for 36 hours I was held for 14 days treated like I wasn’t human. One doctor told me to talk normally when I was literally was talking how I normally talk. I will never voluntarily go to one ever again, they even told me after I went to the hospital if I don’t voluntarily go, they’ll forcible hold me even longer 😢

  5. mine was shit/fine but our doors were never closed and they used a metal detecter rather than strip search. they were relly nice abt it. I went to Boys Town in Omaha NE

  6. "Not as scary as you think" he says as my younger sister was chased down a hall and laughed at, another friend was physically abused, and a roommate i had in the ward was drugged up and they used that as an excuse to keep her there longer. They only give out certain drugs. They get funded from people stuck in there. Its dehumanizing and makes you upset, but if you get uspet they'll keep you there longer. I wasnt abused where i was last time but the other wing was investigated because the staff was abusing the nonverbal patients. They dont help you reintigrate society. Its dehumanizing and breaks you down. But id expect a psychiatrist to protect the reputation of the things that get you paid as you turn people into zombies with your overmedication and medical abuse.

  7. Thats a lie you only have to change your close if your involuntary if your voluntary at the er u dont have to change your clothes at all hospitals each er is different and i have severe mental illness i am in the the pysch ward every week so ur a damn liar the er is a joke the nurses treat u like shit same with the drs there so much more to it but i have severe mental illnesses had them starting since i was 11yrs old km 36 now so dont bullshit people

  8. Yeah yeah yeah and you will say "I diagnose you with this made up whatever PTSD crap" and in a 1 time visit prescribe a benzodiazepine as if it is safe and not addictive and really necessary and the only medication out there to take and actually kill a perfectly fine but just slightly anxious and sleepless young 25 yo patient with your lies and incompetence and lack of psychopharmacological knowledge and lack of respect for the wishes of the patient.

  9. "Can I see your wrists" "If you don't take this pill you'll be in seclusion until you do" "we're here to help you" "Do you feel like harming yourself or others, are you seeing or hearing things" "Get a haldol shot ready" "Even though you feel fine trust me you're not"

  10. Agreed. I remember there being almost 30 of us, and 20+ of us being ignored, neglected, and often straight up forgotten. That group, including me, got so tired of it, that we all got together and went to staff at once. They were all at the desk or in the office behind the desk, and we just surrounded it. The staff had no way out and were forced to listen to our requests. No, scratch that, needs. Half of us had stopped being provided water, not to mention food. Also, they put me in linen restrictions at one point, and did not tell me. I went to bed in one of the day rooms so I could listen to music. I woke up, went to my room, and found all of my stuff missing. This included my earplugs (provided by hospital), my extra cup (I got incredibly good at the cup song thing)(provided by hospital), all sheets and blankets (provided by hospital), my only bra, and even the REQUIRED socks (required by hospital). Before breakfast, I was then scolded for not having socks. Hm…I wonder why I didn’t have any.

  11. They gave me a choice if I wanted to go but I lied ofc because in the moment I didn’t want to go. Now it’s been 2 years and I believe they should not have even given me the choice. I need to go back but I can’t get the courage after seeing my parents reactions last time.

  12. Being forced to strip completely naked w/o consent while female nurses and male hospital security stand in front of you watching is such a violation.
