In therapy I use a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Systems Theory, positive psychology, and a bio-psycho-social approach to treating mental illness and other challenges we all face in life. The ideas from my videos are frequently adapted from multiple sources. Many of them come from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, especially the work of Steven Hayes, Jason Luoma, and Russ Harris. The sections on stress and the mind-body connection derive from the work of Stephen Porges (the Polyvagal theory), Peter Levine (Somatic Experiencing) Francine Shapiro (EMDR), and Bessel Van Der Kolk. I also rely heavily on the work of the Arbinger institute for my overall understanding of our ability to choose our life’s direction.
And deeper than all of that, the Gospel of Jesus Christ orients my personal worldview and sense of security, peace, hope, and love https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/comeuntochrist/believe

❤thank you for you work!
I Claim myself resilent, and I had to learn this.
It helped me much to understand the minefield of communication. (I might be Aspenger/Autism, therefore I seem to communicate in other wise/understanding.) And to understand YOUR own Feelings, hopes, belives – knowing that others don't have the same thoughts and belives made a big difference.
Get to know yourself, and bei Open to get to know others, even those you know for a long Time. (Spoiler; the people around you might be more different than you thought over the Years.)
❤
But when it comes to health.. you are powerless.
This is the one message I don't agree with. There are so many things in life, you don' t have an answer to….death or illness of loved ones, especially when they are young etc. Etc. Resilient people have faith…Not hope, but faith, that everything ist going to be good in the end, that there ist sth bigger that guides and holds us, call it god or source or universe

❤
This is a great message.
Amazing thanks for sharing ❤
You have the BEST way of describing wonderful insights into human behavior and mental health!! Thank you for your videos!!
Just because you don't have a solution doesn't mean that there isn't one.
Lol when she says she wants a divorce because of you then the kids find out all the infidelity. Game over. Kids and grandkids now haven’t seen her in over a decade. Oh what tangled webs we weave.
How do I conquer pain? Tolerating noise?
Thank you, Emma⭐
I am becoming more and more resilient ❤
So true… I always go to the drawing board for every single thing and come back stronger!
💙
Weird I feel like I'm both resilient and fragile
You should trademark “figureoutable!”
I am trying to learn this skill
I am living in a difficult situation ,I am living in a group home with different women one is mentally unstable one of the women is a bully .
💚
It could take longer than anticipated but it can happen. The day will come when we deal with our problem successfully. Whether in an orthodox or unorthodox fashion.
you always help me so much Emma, you are so valued 😀
I have to say your voice is so soothing, balm to the soul ❤ Thank you for all the content you post and effort that goes into that!
Love your videos ❤
To be honest this is a useless video. Someone who’s not resilient watches this and wonders what they can do about it. Therapy is about helping find solutions not point and label
🙏
❤
❤❤❤
You’re awesome. Thank you
I feel beaten down by the hatefulness of mankind. It’s hard to feel resilient in a world so laden with narcissism, stupidity, and vicious violent crime.
Agree to disagree
In my younger years…I could go 8 rounds with anyone arguments or debates, now in my golden era I’m too tired to even think so why bother with others 😅
Tbh I've found a lot of peace in accepting that some problems cannot be fixed.
surely – its the difference between people who are resiliant and
those who didnt learn how to be resliant yet…???
Hope. “Anyone who has a “why” to live can cope with any “how”. Victor Frankl
I wonder how to deal with the hardship when dealing with hardship
Like how to deal with the emotions when lets say dealing with uncomfort of any sort (marriage anxiety stuff like that) when dealing with it it still has hard uncomfortable emotions coming with them how to deal with that to make it cortable when dealing with the uncomfortable
I'm learning to be resilient in a failed marriage- I can find happiness and purpose even here! I've learned so many skills and grief so much trying to revive and restore it… And it's still lifeless and miserable- but I am so much more capable of bringing a whole, healthy self to the world by God's grace and power!
It is a great gift to know that problems can be figured out. It is also a great gift to know that an unsolvable problem often ends in a totally acceptable result. It is OK for some things to go wrong.
I want to be resilient….sign me up please 😊
Thank you for helping me
You make such great videos 😊
