Just try to be as good as you can be. We felt really uncomfortable around shitty nurses, so do your job and above the bare minimum even if you don’t want to have to be around that certain ward, or what have you, the people there aren’t there to be ignored. You seem awesome but don’t let your co workers do this. I had a horrible stay at a hospital due to horrible staff that would just not give a shit
or an inoffensive patient is at risk of getting killed by a medical employee culpable of malpractice, my neighbors were physically assaulted to death by psychiatrists
I dragged to the er for SH and SI I was 12 and ha that siter was an absolute dumbass me having absolutely no desire to be ther and also having some extreme contions desides to ask to go to the bathroom my sister being a like 21 yer old psyc student she was dumb ( no offence to her she was nice but stupid) she let me close the door and ofc ther wasn’t a lock so she thought oh nothing could happen wrong yk being a 12 year old girl with 2 brothers who no how to fake fart sounds ( u pick on stuff easily) so yk i made farting sounds well unscrewing the air vent in the ceiling ( i was unscrewing it with my nail wich i had bitten into a point shape ) and being a skinny queen I managed to fit into it ( i was standing on the toilet ) the psyc student decided to come in since it had been like 3-5 minutes ( i honestly have no idea how long it was ) so she comes in and sees my feet dangling out of the air shaft in the ceiling slowly inching my way in more and more she grabbed my foot and called a codewight no Ida what the hell that be but I managed to slip my socks of and get out of her grip I rember people yelling for me and just keep clawing my way through the vents until I found an opening it’s kinda blurry but ik I got out of the vent somehow and got outside I rember being chased bye security bye the hospital I was at ther was a ranch that I’d ride at so we’re do I sprint to my fav lesson horse hop on bare back ( her name was Libby and yes ik how to ride bare back ) um Libby was a mega lazy horse and also a wester hose so she would jump the fence and I couldn’t get her to gallop cuz she’s lazy well I was caught dragged of my lesson hoses and sedatives by a nurse CURSE U BEATY I woke up in the psyc unit with guess who the psyc student I think her name was Miley she told me what I did was stupid and reckless blablabla ho plus my left leg was held to the bed with stupid psyc restraint then mildly did something I will never forgive her for she started telling me a story I think it was like the hobbit or smt yall I swear I would’ve shot an arrow through her head did I mention that ther son I was dragged ther by my dad was cuz I was attempting to calculate the angle and tardrectery and smt I’d need for a trick shot with the arrow killing me YALL DONT GIVE MENTIL UNSTABLE KIDS BOWS ITS A BAD IDA oh right we’re were we so after she was done her stupid story a fat guy came in he was a psychiatrist. I hated him sm his name was Keven or sm milky gave him an update I was put on pasch hold for 72 hours then was moved to somewhere else and stayed ther for 8 weeks until I got good at lieying my way out so poff I was free and back home milly stoped bye our house mutpil times to check on me. Lik LEVE ME AHLONE MILLY im now like 14-17 so yay I AM STULL PLOTTING REVENGE MILLY also this ain’t a made up story and the editing and spelling sucks cuz im dyslexic so goodbye I hope you have an amazing day EXSPET U MILLY

Well that’s the case in every job. When we’re out in public we don’t know who’s walking amongst us so if you have a job where you help mentally ill patients then I’m sure you are very well trained.
when you're doing bad work of course it's going to be a little dangerous you're working an immoral job where the majority of people you treat don't want to even be treated don't act like your just some victim who didn't know what the job entailed.
psych nurses severely hurt more people yearly than any number of patients possibly could and you get paid a whole lot due to the fact you take part in a more sinister business.

Working as a nurse in a closed/ secured General adult psychiatric ward, i can reassure that our Job can be Dangerous
As a patient you can get seriously disfigured and disabled from the medications.

My job has adult and pediatric acute impatient psych psychiatric unit. I refuse to go on kids! They are awful.
