HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – A new health clinic is coming to one of Huntsville’s largest public housing communities.
The Huntsville Housing Authority is partnering with HAPPI Health, a federally qualified community health center, to open a full-service clinic in the Northwoods neighborhood.
It is part of a broader plan to provide wraparound services — from job training and financial literacy to youth programs and GED classes — all under one roof. With more than 400 residents in the community, organizers said eliminating barriers to health care is a game-changer.

Michellda Johnson with HAPPI Health said the facility will be a permanent fixture.
“This isn’t a pop-up clinic. This is a full-service facility offering adult and pediatric care, behavioral health, urgent care and lab services,” she said. “We’ll serve everyone — insured or not — because access to health care shouldn’t depend on your income or your ZIP code.”
The clinic will occupy two retrofitted classrooms inside the same building as the Calvary Hills Library. Leaders hope to open by April 2026, giving residents in and around Northwoods convenient care and connection to other vital resources.
