Why Did The Narcissist Choose You In The First Place?

So, why did the narcissist pick you? Why do they choose you? That’s a question I get all the time, y’all, as someone that’s diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder, right? Why did the narcissist pick me? Why do they choose me? And some people will tell you it’s because you are you have the light inside of you and they attracted to that light. They’re dark souls and they’re attracted to that light. That’s not always going to be true, right? Sometimes they pick you because you’re the closest person to them. You work with them. the proximity. You y’all are in close proximity to proximity to each other. So, they pick you, they choose you because you might be physically attractive. You might have money. You might have something going for you. There’s something about you that pulls you towards them or pulls them towards you, right? It’s not always the light inside of you or something like that. It could be the proximity, could be how you look, could be lust at first, right? It’s not always because you have a high capacity for empathy. It just could be you’re sitting next to me in the office and now we’re talking. Now, I see that you are going through a traumatic situation in your life. I see that you’re vulnerable. Now, I get you. You see what I’m saying? It could be. It does. It doesn’t always have to be as deep as the light inside of you. You know what I mean? Why you get picked? Why you get chosen? You know, cuz narcissists don’t always pick impaths. Some narcissists end up with other narcissists. Some narcissists end up with horrible people themselves and they just two horrible people going back and forth bouncing the horrible energy between each other.     My question: this is my guess on how validation works for an unaware narcissist – every aspect of them needs to be validated, by someone at the tip top of that area. So re: their looks, they would want admired by someone who’s super gorgeous; their brains, they would want admired by a genius; their creativity they would want admired by a famous artist; their humor, they would want admired by a world class comedian, their spirituality they would want admired by a renowned cult leader, etc. Everyone is a potential rung on their way up. So they have to keep looking and upgrading constantly in all of those categories. They have no time to give anything to anyone, as they are constantly focused on trying to fill out their own ego bingo card. Is that accurate?
