the power of love on healing | Subscribe for more #motivation 😊👍
Human connection has a measurable effect on health. When patients receive visits from loved ones, vital signs often improve, showing that emotional support directly impacts recovery. This demonstrates that care extends beyond medicine and procedures. Building strong, positive relationships can reduce stress and promote healing in clinical settings and everyday life. Recognizing the role of empathy and presence helps both caregivers and patients achieve better outcomes. Simple acts of love and attention can strengthen resilience and improve overall well-being.

My labor and delivery nurse was the first person who caught on to how abusive my fiance was. She realized that every time he came in the room my BP & HR would jump and get flighty. I was really good at masking my face but she knew. She held my hand and told me “no one’s hands should sweat like that when they see the love of their life.” I couldn’t believe her at the time but I’m immensely grateful for her now.
Proverbs 17:22 " A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."
My wife would kill me by visiting me after a heart attack 😂
Not just that. My uncle was in a coma for a couple of days before he passed and after having an accident. I noticed when my mom and I came visit the heart rate would slow down during our visit, and the next time we came it was super super high. Turns out the shitty aunt (sister of his) has visited the day before
I was having a stress test exam with other members of a rescue team. All wired up, waiting my turn. Pulse and bp were low. The redhead nurse walked in. Both went up significantly! She looked at the monitor, looked at me, smiled, and walked out. Ooof
Oh boohoo.
Where's my story about the final moments of my mom, my brother, Grandma..
Where's my story about my survived suicide attempt?
No where. Why, cause I move on to happier things.
I was taken to the hospital for fear of stroke (just stressed). Then I was told my husband was here. Within 15 minutes my BP was 245/180 from 135/90. [Separated on discharge].😂😂😂
I had to check in to said hospital after trying to read that. Did schools stop teaching English?
My sister was hospitalized due to what we eventually found out was large diffuse B cell lymphoma cancer. When she was cleared to have vistors, I wrote lymphoma puns on sticky notes and placed them on her table. She was reading them while getting her BP done and it went up because she began cackling. It went back to the normal healthy taste after she calmed down but she thanked me for helping cheer her up.
My mother in law was in the hospital for a pacemaker for very low heart rate. Her numbers would go to normal everytime during prayer. It was crazy to watch
Slightly different- but in the last week of my pregnancy I realised that when my husband was around me my contractions would start, and then go away when he left. My midwife explained that oxytocin is the hormone that gets contractions going, and oxytocin is the happy hormone. It was proof that my husband makes me happy ❤
Lol. These fake tweets keep going around
That's super sweet to hear. If I'm ever in care I'm dead
My aunt was asked to leave cause she only made my uncle worse. They literally had to politely ask her not to go in his room anymore. 😬
I’m not reading on YouTube bruh
Lies
Shut. Up.
This is why I need a girlfriend to help reduce my stress levels.
Not to be funny but who else did you think she would be.
I can raise my resting pulse to over 100 just by thinking intensively about my Ex and what she did to me.
Not that i do that anymore because it is not fun.
Isn’t that just common sense?
I wonder what dogs do then.
Or other animals.
We had a lady once who was having takotsubo (broken heart syndrome) she also was battling MS and had been wheelchair bound for some time. She got so much worse when her husband came to visit, so we helped her realize she might do better dicharging to a nursing facility instead of home. She was much better without him.
My Father started recovering and his vitals were getting better when I turned up. I was forced to run away from there because of the way my stepmother and her relatives were treating me. His health worsened and he passed away. A pretty responsible man with a horror wife and selfish son. Didn’t write a will. I don’t think he thought he would pass away then. I miss him dearly. Hope every single one responsible gets their comeuppance.
Diane downs made her kid BP sore when she entered the room. The kid wasn’t even conscious, but heard her voice.
Thats why i will lie to doctors everytime to get myself or my kids home where they can actually heal and recover.
Hospitals are the worse place to recover or get better. Cant recover if you cant sleep and you cant sleep when annoying ass nurses want to come poke and prod every hour on the hour.
I used to say Ill only go to a hospital if im dying, but anymore id prolly prefer to die.
My blood pressure spikes when my family comes near😂
My ex was in a horrific car wreck with major head trauma. Apparently, he told his wife I was his kid. I, most definitely, was NOT. But I wasn't going to tell her that while he is in his potential death bed.
She asked me to come to the hospital. We were talking, next to his bed for about 15 minutes when suddenly the nurses rushed in. Whatever we were talking about was upsetting my ex so badly we had to leave. Spiked his blood pressure! 😂
How many Covid deaths resulted from quarantining patients who died alone?
Uh, yup. My mom stayed overnight in the hospital when I had my son as a preemie because of preeclampsia. Blood pressure crashed when she left the next morning and my husband arrived.
I was struggling after an all day surgery and seeing my husband definitely helped me recover faster from it. So much so I went home after 5 days instead of 2-3wks. Having a positive proactive mindset is also very important. My surgeons learnt from it and loved ones are encouraged to visit patients asap. Gives everyone peace of mind to see each other.
As is typical of the trade, egocentric doctors decided to write a paper aBout it, feeding there own egocentricities instead of recognizing that both doctors, naturopaths and holistic healers( nutriceautical administers) knew of this medical Fact and incorporated it into their practice as a 'chief tool in the physicians toolbag.
It wasn't until the AMA received never before heard of amounts of funding between 1855 and 1899 that granted them tje kind of power and authority that they have today.😢
Sounds too crazy to believe.
Naysayers will say 'its impossible for an entire field of science to reject critical thinking on Behalf of their patients for pats on their Egos back and pockets full of cash' but…
It took more than 50 year's for those same doctors to admit that 'NO! IT turns out Camel cigarettes arent even a LITTLE healthier than other brands no matter how much you pay doctkrs across yhe country to say so'
Another FUN FACT:
DOCTORS and BELIEVERS shamed those who spoke up against them the same way they shame people who speak up against vaccines today… almost like it was training for a future plan….
But THAT would be crazy….😮…. right?…….
Woke up from open heart surgery having a panic attack because i couldn't feel my husband in the room. Eyes open Im asking where's my husband, a split second later phones ringing my husband calling from the parking lot because he sensed I was having a panic attack. Blood pressure went Extremely elevated to perfect normal in 3 seconds. The nurses were kinda freaking out for a few minutes. Covid pandemic rules forced him out of the room before I woke up.
I got my sisters heart rate up so much from making jokes, I got in trouble with my mom and had the nurses run up to her room several times. Worth it
When I was in labor with my last child, my blood pressure would skyrocket every time my (now ex) husband came in the room. Add to that, it was preterm labor. My nurse kicked him out of the room and only let him back in when I started pushing.
Yeah. She is the only thing that'll bring my heart rate down. Even just straight up abusing alcohol doesn't work. She became my addiction <3
They actually made sure my hubby stayed- I think I survived bc of him
I am sure my ex would have high blood pressure and headaches 😂😂
I can attest to this to my core. I am disabled and chronically ill so I’ve had more than my fair share of hospital visit/stays. When my husband is by my side, pain medications work better because knowing he is there relaxes me, my oxygen levels go up because I’m breathing steadier, I am able to communicate my issues, needs and thoughts clearer because my anxiety reduces by so much. Not only is he my strongest advocate but him being by my side allows me to advocate for myself as well. He brings me that confidence and that faith that I know he’s gonna have my back no matter what. That makes a world of difference.
I was having a medical emergency and it was bad but when my husband showed up and gave me num nums ❤ I can see nurses weren't as worried. He went to get our daughter from school while I stayed at ICU and when he left I started vomiting. At home if he's out on a business trip I can't sleep we stay up watching tv together while on phone until we both fall asleep
He's my lobster 🦞
I was in the hospital last year and I absolutely hate doctors. (I’m a retired pharmacist who left the industry when I realized how corrupt it really is!) and the doctor noticed how nice I was when my wife walked in. He gave orders for my wife to see me anytime she liked. No visiting hours for her! By the time the morphine kicked in, also, I was a teddy bear!😂😂
