DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – SpectraCare celebrated the launch of a new mobile health clinic designed to address barriers that prevent veterans from accessing mental health services.

The clinic will operate in seven surrounding counties, bringing mental health services directly to veterans and their families through Operation VetWell, a partnership with Troy University.

“I think that gone are the days when we expect everyone to come to us for care,” said Susie Kingry, COO of SpectraCare. “We’ve got to be able to take care where the people are, where the need is most urgent. And our mobile clinic is certainly one way to do that.”

The mobile clinic provides mental health assessments, substance use screening and other services to veterans in their communities.
