YAKIMA, Wash. — Comprehensive Healthcare has been chosen for Washington state’s first Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) pre-certification program.

Officials with Comprehensive Healthcare said this is a significant step toward expanding mental health and substance use treatment in Central Washington.

The program will help Comprehensive Healthcare provide 24/7 crisis support and a wide range of care to anyone, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay.

“But really it’s about getting access to people and looking at whole person care. So access — we want to provide access in real time to individuals when they need it,” said Natalie McGillen, chief of special projects for Comprehensive Healthcare.

The new program is set to launch in January 2026.
