“This project’s vision is to understand faith-based perinatal support systems through community- engaged research that bridges academic expertise with trusted community organizations. This partnership with Lifeline Pregnancy Resource Center explores effective support mechanisms, identifies barriers to access to care, and develops evidence-based interventions to improve perinatal mental health outcomes in underserved Idaho communities.”
“This qualitative descriptive study explores women’s experiences with faith-based perinatal support through focus groups/individual interviews with Lifeline Pregnancy Resource Center clients. The research aims to understand how faith-based organizations provide holistic care, coordinate with traditional healthcare systems, and impact maternal mental health. Findings inform the development of videoconference-delivered perinatal mental health prevention programs and training resources for Idaho’s pregnancy resource centers, ultimately expanding access to culturally appropriate perinatal mental health support in rural and underserved communities.”
