CARROLL COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) — The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to two separate mental health crises in Westminster on Monday, causing temporary road closures to be put in place.

Both incidents involved a person experiencing a mental health crisis, and both people reportedly had access to weapons, according to authorities.

Neither person made threats against the public, but authorities said the possibility of weapons requires a larger law enforcement response in case circumstances change.
