about 70% of the patients who come to see a family medicine doctor come with behavioral health issue anxiety depression things like that so it’s a core part of what we do behavioral health team supports a medical team in delivering that primary care to a patient my name is Julia Keller I work here as a behavioral health consultant at the hilltop location and what that means is that we talk about behavioral health concerns that come up in patients medical visits we’ll talk about the target issue so let’s say it’s depression for example when did this start what’s the onset one of the triggers recent changes have you been to counseling before and how do you cope what makes you feel better I’m really fortunate I get to be part of all of our medical provider teams and on those teams I help our providers sort out the areas that are impacting patients lives so we can look at their diabeetus and their blood pressure and what stress they’re under and why that stress is impacting their health so it becomes a comprehensive plan medical and behavioral health I take care of the behavioral issues today as they happen if behavioral health can help your overall health get better you deserve it
