5 Ways to Protect Your Mental Health

Five ways to protect your mental health. Number five, move. When your mental health starts to decline, your whole body will start shutting down. We want to prevent that, especially if we can get movement to become part of a habit. This can be done in creative ways like playing pickle ball, playing soccer with kids, or going for a walk. It doesn’t have to be your typical go to the gym and run for 40 minutes, although that works too. movement, especially one that raises your heart rate, will help release endorphins that will make you feel better. Number four, sleep well. You have to protect your sleep. I get that it’s not always possible, and you certainly don’t have to be perfect at it, but let’s not sabotage it by engaging in sleep revenge, procrastination, or doing things that you know hurt your sleep cycle.
