BALTIMORE (WBFF) — The Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division (IID) announced that no charges will be filed against the officers involved in a fatal shooting that occurred in Dundalk in May 2025.
The Attorney General’s office determined that the officer did not commit a crime under Maryland law and will not prosecute any of the officers in this case.
The incident occurred on May 18, 2025, when two Baltimore County Police officers responded to a residence for a reported mental health crisis at the 8200 block of North Boundary Road.

One of the officers went behind the residence and located a man, identified as 43-year-old Glenn Pettie.
Pettie then fired a handgun, prompting the officer to exchange gunfire and wounding Pettie.

Emergency Medical Services responded and transported Pettie to a nearby hospital, where he died shortly after arriving.
No officer was injured in this incident, authorities reported.
