One of the first babies born in 2026 arrived at Beacon Health Systems this morning.
Baby Chozen was born at Memorial Hospital of South Bend at 7:35 in the morning on January 1st.
Chozen weighed eight pounds four ounces and measured 21 3/4 inches. Megan Dawe and Stephen Malone welcomed their baby after 12 hours of labor.
Chozen is Megan’s fourth child, and he was her healthiest delivery. He arrived without complications at 39 weeks.
“He’s the healthiest baby I’ve had. I had complications with the others, but this time there were no issues. He’s just perfect,” said Megan.
Chozen’s siblings are 2, 4 and 6 years old.
