(Seguin) — The Geronimo Lions Club is kicking off the new year with its first First Friday Feast of 2026, combining good food, live music, and support for mental health services in the community.

The event will be held Friday, January 2, at the Big Red Barn, located at 250 Cordova Road in Seguin. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit NAMI Guadalupe County, which provides education, advocacy, and support for individuals and families affected by mental illness.

Guests will have the choice of a grilled rib-eye steak or a fried cod dinner, each served with salad, bread, a baked potato, dessert, and a cold beverage. Meals are priced at $20 and can be paid for by credit card, cash, or check at the door.

Serving will begin at 5:30 p.m. and continue until 7:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to enjoy live music while they eat, and to-go plates will also be available for those unable to stay.

Organizers say the First Friday Feast is designed to bring people together at the start of the new year while raising awareness and support for mental health resources in Guadalupe County.

Community members are encouraged to bring friends, enjoy a meal, and help celebrate the new year while supporting a cause that benefits the entire community.
